Established in 2004 by Pastor Mary Watare Mbugua, our roots lie in a personal tragedy that sparked a mission to create a haven for the truly needy, less fortunate, and discriminated in life.

Pastor Mary’s dream emerged from the ashes of loss when she tragically lost her son. In her grief, she made a solemn decision: “All that I could have given to my son; food, clothing, shelter, education, I will give to the poor, needy, less fortunate, and orphans.” And so, the doors of Body of Christ Center opened, transforming a vacant house into a loving home for 160 vulnerable children.
